No it won't cause a power loss but aslong as you didn't bend the pipe your good. Glad you like the sound!!

That's odd I wonder why mine didn't. I used the stock pipes, and just added a piece about 3 inches long like you did. however the inlet and outlet would not line up with the stock pipes while still laying flat. There was a huge difference between the size of the old muffler and the new one.

Anyone have a part number for a replacement muffler? The truck sounds far too tame for my liking.

I've only looked quickly, but is the OEM muffler affixed with vband clamps? Or does it require welding to change out?

OEM system is all welded.

I had the banks exhaust system on my 2011 2500HD 6.0 . Loved it! Probably will leave the exhaust on the new truck alone though.

I ordered the Magnaflow cat-back performance system with dual rear-exit split last week. I really didn't want to spend the money on a bolt on cat back system, especially based on the quality of the current exhaust system - but was really fiending for dual-rears and wanted to replace the stock muffler as well, so it seemed worth it and decided to bite the bullet. Happened to chat with a rep on AutoAnything to clarify a couple questions I had, and they ended up offering me $200 off plus free next day delivery, so that sealed the deal for me. Well, turns out it went on backorder for almost 2 weeks a couple days later :nopity: , but anyways....

I will be sure to post how the install and final results go. I know there isn't much info out there yet for aftermarket exhaust on the 2015 6.0's so hopefully it will be helpful to someone! This will be for my 2015.5 6.0 Denali CCSB.

Here are a couple pics of the Magnaflow performance series cat-back setup. Removal/installation went as expected (took about 4.5 hours, but went very slow and careful). Only issue is the driver side tailpipe section that goes over the rear axle definitely makes contact with the spare tire. Spent a solid hour on adjustments to make sure everything was perfectly lined up and unless I wanted the two exhaust tips to be completely uneven, I couldn't make it so the exhaust didn't touch the spare.

Sounds great, BTW!

You have to cut the factory exhaust between the muffler and rear axle, simply to be able to remove it as it is one solid welded piece from the cat to the tailpipe. Other than that, it was plug and play. The hardest part was probably removing and reinstalling the hangers from the rubber mounts that hold it up. That and the fine-adjusting at the end to line everything up perfectly. Not having a torque wrench probably wasn't the best idea either come to think of it......
