"Easter Eggs" on your Silverado that you just found out

If you've got the key in the ignition and the driver's door open, and the chime bugs you, if you leave door open and remove and reinsert the key, the chime stops. I haven't figured out how to do it with the radio on though.

I believe all you can do is lower the chime volume. Even at it's lowest settings, it's loud...IMO

Are you wanting to play radio with door open and truck turned off? I'm thinking all you need to do is press the radio ON button and it will play a predetermined amount of time - no need to put key into "Acc" mode. My wife's Jetta does. I'm thinking I tried on the truck and it worked.

I'm sure this "feature" might have been with the 900 trucks or even back to the 800s, but being that I went from a '98 Silverado to my '14 I don't know. I found out today that when you're just changing lanes you can make the turn signal lever turn the blinkers on without putting it all the way in to where the lever stays in the up or down position until you turn or put it back to the middle. There's 2 things you can do for when using the signal while changing lanes. You can either put the lever to right before it clicks into place and hold it there, and then when you're in the lane you just let go of the lever and it goes back to the middle. Or, you can basically move it to the same place but let go and the blinker stays on and to turn it off just move the lever back to right before it clicks into place and turns it off. It's not hard to feel the slight tension for when you put it all the way up or down, as soon as you feel the tension is when you either hold it there or let go and then put it back in the same place to turn the blinker off.

This is so you don't have to click it in and click it back out which can wear it out quicker. It will also help you not forget to click it back out of position to put it back in the middle. I've had the pop up come up telling me to turn my blinker off.

If you just bump the lever, turn signal will flash 3x and turn off. In tow/haul mode, 6x.

anybody know if there is a scan option on the radio?

Hold the next button like to skip tracks on a cd. It works in my work truck. Didn't try my LTZ though. I use sat radio I don't think I used fm since I bought it lol

Just found this out... if you get the OEM molded mudflaps (front and back) they attach inside of the plastic wheel well liner and don't touch any painted part. No more worries about dirt getting trapped and vibration rubbing paint off!

Pics online don't really show that all too well.

I noticed this when putting my steps on. I notice they move a lot and I was afraid of knocking them off until I saw that they were bolted/screwed on.
