Ok thank you! I had never seen them mounted that way on the GM trucks.

Its all good. Another reason to mount them down, is the end of the boot has a small weep hole in it. So if water gets inside the boot it can drain out easier.

Yep...boot down on those shocks... I even called them before I installed mine because it seems odd.

Just got a call from the body shop. They said they are washing it up now. Just waiting on my Z71 4x4 decal to go on the back of the bed. Also, they need to have the alignment fixed, because when I got whacked it was tracking strange.

Hopefully have the truck back tomorrow. That would be 15 business days, or 19 regular days.

Looking forward to having my truck back.

Badges....you don't need no stinkin' badges!

Looks like the shop is taking care of you. It says something if they even let you in there while they are working on it. They run a clean shop, I'd be confident with them!

Hopefully you're happy with it when they're done.

Lol. I almost told him to just leave it off and then take the other side off for me. Oh well.

It's definitely a nice shop. Certified repair facility for GM, Volkswagen and Audi. I definitely have faith in them.

How's your truck? Happy to have it back I bet!

Going to pick it up after work today!

All better! The shop did an outstanding job.

Also because we were talking about it. My bilsteins have the labels mounted so boots go down. d97154007654ed2dedc534c912fc67b5.jpg

Well, after driving the truck all weekend. I am very pleased to be back in my truck.

I was planning on detailing it and getting a sealant and wax on ASAP. But the body shop said no wax or sealants for 90 days. I guess the paint continues to cure over the course of this time.

No big deal, it will be time for a pre-winter detail when that time comes around.

So I went over to the body shop last week to see the progress on the truck. Snapped a few pics. Made me sick to my stomach...

New cab corner, new bedside, new rear passenger door. They said it would be getting painted soon. So I hope to have it back later this week or early next week.
