I can't believe it! I'm a GM guy

I've owned 5 Ram trucks in my short lifetime(30 years old). Got my first Ram when I turned 18 and started working out of town in oil and gas.

I've been a loyal Ram guy ever since. That is until last week!

I was looking to downgrade from my 2014 Ram 3500 Longhorn. I am expecting my second child soon and I no longer need my big dually diesel beast haha.

So I went to Dodge and told the sales guy exactly what I wanted. He was very unhelpful, lacked motivation and kept trying to go over my budget. I told him what I wanted to spend and he kept coming up with trucks that were $100-$200 more a month. Loaded laramies and Sports. I told the guy this would be my 6th truck and I don't appreciate him trying to upsell me. He leaves the office and another salesmen comes in, I was baffled and looked at the wife and said "Lets get out of this shithole".

The new sales guy was white as a ghost.

So we went shopping that weekend and after seeing all the pickups I fell in love with the sierras.

All pickups we looked at and test drove were good and worthy of a purchase but as you may know it all comes down to personal preference.

The GM salesman was awesome! He understood my reasons for wanting to be within my budget.

Gave me a great deal on the truck I picked out of the lot. He did some of that magic got my payments smack dab in the middle of where I wanted to be!

Signed the papers on a Sonoma red(I think thats the name)2015 Sierra SLE Z71 Crew cab.

It's just the right amount of truck for me and the wife is happy with the payments now which was always a source of argument in the past.

I pick it up either today or tomorrow. They are detailing it for me and getting her all purdy like!

I'll post some pics once I have her in my arms.

I look forward to hanging out with you guys.

Looking at accessories now!

Welcome! Just don't spend the difference of your truck payments on accessories, and your wife will be happy!

Congrats on #2!

You traded down from a '14 Ram 3500 Longhorn dually diesel to a '15 Sierra 1500 SLE (with a good deal) and still have to make payments?

Geeez!

One more reason not to buy a RAM.

The depreciation is...wow!

Congrats on your second kid and your new truck.

Congratulations! I had the same experience at Dodge. All they tried to sell me was the fully loaded trucks for 50k. I even went to the Chevy place next door and had the same thing happen. They had more LTZ and High Country trucks than anything else and all they did was try to make me buy a $50k LTZ.

Went to another place and landed a decent deal on an LS Crew Cab. I wanted the LT, but it just wasn't within budget. (Trading two cars for one and eating some negative equity. Two kids in car seats, 95lb Rottie Mix, strollers, bags and such don't fit very well into a Cruze or an Equinox. At least not at the same time!)
