I am sure we can work something out. Let me get everything installed tomorrow and see how much I have left over as I am notorious for miscutting. :D

Well post some more pics please, I am ordering 5 yards myself.

Sorry, life has been busy. Here's the other pics of where I've put the welting. I think I have to redo my armrest tho.

Loved the idea on this thread so I did my own ! Took me about an hour to do all of it attachicon.gifIMG_1330.JPGf2c88b6f3c9d847e1549bc9af4d5eec7.jpg53d4558bf35fbd6e672b3131e6a99e04.jpgc53ad1ee2495982c4b0a79c61ac115b6.jpg

Love the carbon fiber wrap.. How hard was that to do and where did you get it from? Been thinking of doing the same thing.

Around the radio was the hardest piece because it was so big and I dug deep to get the small piece around the radio controls. The steering wheel I had to take the airbag out to remove the pieces but wasn't too bad just disconnect the battery and take you're time read online how to remove stuff... and use a heat gun or a hairdryer to pull it around the pieces.. hairdryer takes a bit longer to really heat the wrap up

You can probly buy the stuff at Walmart I've seen it there before in 24x60 sheets... I'm in Canada so I got mine at Canadian tire

Cool. And it's been sticking pretty good, not lifting anywhere?

Yeah ! Once it's wrapped around the edge it sticks well ! I took every piece completely out of the truck inside my home and did them

I have a couple small ripples but I could have took a little more time doing it and I used a hairdryer .. a heat gun would have helped

Can anyone help me with the back doors? I have the fronts done, but the backs are impossible... Any tips would be appreciated.

The back of my Crew cab was harder for sure. I used a metal putty knife and even a small plain screwdriver to open the grove a bit.

For me the console was a nightmare.

Do what I did, get away from it, take a break maybe think of some other tools you could use. Make sure to not scrape your door though, I will forever live with two deep scratches on mine. Maybe try to cut the slots into it as well as the freezer trick. And when doing so I started at the very end I believe, go a little ahead of where you are starting and spread it like us men do, slide it in and just patiently work your way in little bit by little bit. And if you need to do what I ended up with is I skipped the part that wouldn't go in and finished the rest then went back to the spots that were harder, good luck!

Thanks guys, I got it done... I figured out that you need to put the screwdriver in the crack and ease the top part up (almost pushing downward on the screwdriver after you have pushed it into the crack. Looks great!

Actually no, I have been so busy at work I have not had time to do anything.

    • .30” of rain all month and it’s been weeks since that. “Mowed” our two properties today for the first time since July 2nd. It only took 30 minutes because all I had to do was level some weeds and saplings in a few problem areas. Everything else is dead.
    • Dealer reported a failed shifter module assembly so the whole shifter is getting replaced. Yet another premature repair… up to $12,000+ in extended warranty payout in only 5 years and 80,000 miles!
    • According to the dealer it’s an internal leak/failure of the compressor.  Again, another failure that shouldn’t happen at only 5 years and 80k miles.  For some reason the compressors must be hard to come by right now, because the truck’s been at the dealer almost a week and they just located a compressor at another dealer several states away today.  We’ll see if this fixes the issue.
    • I'm not sure if this should be a reply on this thread or a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - ACDelco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles. When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so i did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance.
    • I wasn’t commenting on your post. Certainly wasn’t arguing. I was making an observation on my long term experience with supposedly proper length of driving for proper heat cycles. Works for me. Although I have seen water or vapor come out of exhaust when vehicles weren’t run very long and shut off. It’s very humid in the morning. Then hot and humid.
