looks great - love the carbon fiber wrap on the wheel and dash pieces - looks beautiful!

OK, I finally was able to complete the console lid, which is similar to the one in the pics above. I fought with this for better than an hour: just could not get the piping into the front area where it bends down. I tried the freezer trick, some lotion on it and pried the area with a small screwdriver and putty knife without any luck. I was bound and determined to get this done but frustration set in on the front edges because the piping would not go in.

 

I ended up removing the lid from the truck and taking it inside to work on it. Sitting in the back seat I lifted the console as I opened the lid and just pried the inside cover (bottom side of the lid) along the edges and the cover; it popped right off. Then you only need to remove 6 Phillips head screws to remove the lid itself from the console.

 

Once the lid is removed the center plastic piece is held in with 4 screws as well as the front lip that has two points that clip into the lid itself. I loosen the 4 screws for an easier install of the piping except for the front edges. Once the piping was inserted in the front area of the lid I used a small amount of glue on the front ends of the piping to give them a secure hold as that would be a point of loosening if any with the opening of the lid over time.

By far the two front points on the console was the hardest thing in this mod compared to the doors and the dash. JMO...

Has anyone done this on the cocoa dune interior? I'm curious to how it would look. I don't think it would look near as good as the black interior.

I've done it with Matte White on my Pearl White silverado.. haven't uploaded pics yet

That sounds like plenty of time filled with not so friendly language but I'm impressed by the amount of dedication! That being said I'm glad you finally got it done lol and to top it off probably helped a few with how to dismantle your center console!!

Got it around the handle part, too much? Let me hear your thoughts! Had to cut the part that goes down into the space a little due to the round edges around the lever as they are not as deep as the rest

Hmm depends on your taste, to me when I tried it, it just looked odd with the blue on the front and the top bare and just black, I preferred the top being done over the handle since that's the biggest spot and most noticed

Anyone with cocoa/dune have pics they want to share? I was thinking of getting the maroon to closely match the ruby red metallic of the truck.

that sounds pretty good - it's so cheap you should order several colors at once - post pix as I'd love to see what worked with the cocoa/dune interior....

i was going to go blue becuz i've made all my interior lights blue, but ordered a chrome/silver. i hope to have time to install it between christmas and new years
