LED Headlight Mod Sierra 1500

I have them, but have not hooked them up since I have not had any issues. I seems like some people need them and some people don't. I am not sure why.

does anyone have any idea on the LED head and tail lights being fitted on the 2016 Sierra Denalis

will 1) fit 2) work with 2015 Denali?

might be easier to swap out headlights and tail lights from 2016 model than mess around with non

OEM housings or LED bulbs..

I was thinking the same thing.. I have a 15, Sierra Denali 5.3L....

I have these and they are much better than stock. The bulb is #9012

 

I ordered mine with the canbus but others on here are running them without it and are saying they work fine.

Running same kit with no CANbus and have no issues with flickering. I even got someone to follow me in my truck so I could witness them myself. Still no flickering.

you want 6000k anyway, LEDs are normally around 6000k to 6500k, any variations are filtered with reduction in performance

 

 

Hey Morris, was there a reason you dumped HIDs and took this route instead? I think you had DDM kit in before (EDIT: Just read your comparison thread, I see now.)

 

Are they 9012, 9006, or 9005 when you ordered them from her?

She no longer sell directly anymore. You have to find distributor on ebay now. Keyword is 4500lm and you can get "9006" they called it but they fit without any cutting.

 

I went with it just to see if they are brighter, if not, they would be a plus for my fogs anyway. When I went and pulled out my DDM bulbs, I noticed they were hazing up - clouding showing where the source of light would be emitted. I also noticed my two bulbs are emitting different colours now just bothers me.

 

Instant on is always nice as I can actually warn incoming traffic during day time for upcoming hazards etc. They also provide a better light spread on low beam. Highbeam is not as good as HIDs but with my fogs making up for them. Highbeam is still definitely better than halogen bulbs though

there was no way the passenger side LED was going to stay in at 3 and 9 o'clock, right when you put it in it was at 3 and 9 so in order for it to lock in i had to put it more so at 5 and 11 o'clock

why is it the LED needs to go in at 3 and 9? is that going to cause me problems? The driver side went it and locked at 3 and 9 so that one is good anyway...

 

its still daylight out so i will wait till its gets dark to try them out

The LEDs have to be at 3 and 9 to be aimed properly. Most effective at 3 and 9.

 

Try the O ring off your stock bulb, this may allow for a tighter fit. When I installed mine, I bought slightly larger O rings for both. I was then able to line them up at 3 and 9 and still have the bulb tightly seated.

where was it said that these needed to be at 3 and 9? there really wasn't any instructions that came with mine.

drove around a list and much brighter but this 3 and 9 thing has me thinking now... i really don't think adding more O rings would help it was a tight fit to begin with just not at 3 and 9

I do not know why XD insists that the truck needs the CanBus adaptor. TRS insists that it does not. I haven't ordered yet and am leaning to the XD LED's.
