I personally like the 07-13 extended cabs the best I love how the doors open on 90/angle makes it really easy to grab my motocross gear bag outa the back seat I find my extended cab more convenient then a crew cab screw theses new stupid double cab wana be crew cab things

The only reason I would want the excab back is for the wide opening rear doors. I really missed those the 1st time I had to put a clothes basket in the back of my 14.

Im only 5'10" and 145lbs and I find the back seat of a double cab very cramped.

We are exact same size - must be a matter of opinion, or you lean back alot more than I do. I think my double cab has decent space.

I mean the back seat. I know I don't sit back there a lot but I have a lot bigger people in my family and they need to be able to ride with me.

I figured back seat. I sat back there before choosing truck to see how much room for kiddos. I know it isn't same as buddy's SuperCrew, but I felt there was plenty of room.

I don't lean my seat back very far, which would reduce leg room for back seat passenger if I did.

I agree, I preferred the gmt900 extended cab design vs the 2 smaller forward hinged doors. If they could make the old design open separate of the front doors and no b piller = awesome.

No offense to anyone but the double cab doesn't have adequate space if you're gonna have adults back there often.

The odd short trip sure.

My double cab does just fine hauling adults [emoji3]

You can't haul them in the bed.

They must be mini me adults! I can fit in the back of mine but it is not comfortable.

Funny, some guys feel the 4.3 V6 has enough power, others won't have anything but a 6.2 V8. Some like regular cabs, other say the double cab is fine, then some only want the Crew. GMC and Chevy are smart enough to offer what you want. What works for me might not work for you so buy what does work. If you want the old Extended cab find a nice lightly used pre '14.

I don't miss my ext. cab. When I was looking at new Sierras, I looked at double cabs. The first thing I did was bring the drivers seat as far back as it goes because I'm 6'2". This is how I had my seat on my GMT900. There was not much room in the back but, then I sat in the front seat and the seat was too far back! I had to move the seat up then there was more room in the back seat. I ended up going with the crew cab. Like the looks better and plenty of room for adults. There is more front leg room than the GMT900's.
