Help with reverse lights.

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra I added lights to the back of the truck. I ran wires into the cabin my problem is I'm trying to find the correct wire that is used for the reverse lights any idea what wire in the cab is a reverse lights so I can tap into them. Thanks.

I ran my wires to the rear of the truck and t-tapped straight to the reverse lights behing the tail light housings for my under bed rail lighting. The wiring was light green for + and black for-, behind each. Also, you can pull the signal straight from the hitch wiring as well

I have 'herd' that wiring direct to hitch wiring is best for adding reverse lights because it is an isolated circuit meant to run auxiliary peripheral devices. That way you aren't piggy backing an important segment of your electrical harness.

Hahahah dap. Well played. So looks like I need 15 feet of wire to accomplish this which isn't happening tonight . I read somewhere that the reverse lights wire is brown with two blue strips. DB tapped into the reverse lights color being light green. My question is any idea what color wire on the hitch wiring would be the reverse lights.

Scroll all the way to the bottom and look for vehicle side 7-way, since 4-way doesn't have reverse. Looks to me like the center pole should be reverse.

I'm not sure on your truck but I it's blue on a lot of trailers I've worked on for the siolniod to release the brakes when you back up... if that helps?

Which lights did you go with? Where did you mount them? What sierra do you have?

2015 GMC Sierra. I bought two x vision soltice lights. I mounted them on the under side of my rear bumper. Unfortunately they are not hooked up yet due to a jacked up wiring harness. This weekend I will have them set up and take pictures.
