Anyone have painted tailgate handle?

As topic says, I'm looking to see if anyone has painted tailgate handle on their 2014 or 2015. If so can you post a picture or pictures?

 

Doesn't matter what color if you do, just curious to see how it looks in general. To me you can have to much painted to match, and deff to much chrome(just my personal preference).

Does GM make a smooth handle that's paintable or are you guys just sanding and painting over the factory plastic?

I also had the chrome one painted to match (chrome matches the side door chrome handles). My body shop guy was in a rush and didn't sand it first, but the textured feel is no big deal to me.

Here's mine a little after all the handles were painted to match.. I bought another tailgate handle and all smooth door handles and had all the handles painted so there was no down time on my truck.. I searched around I couldn't find no smooth tailgate handles so mine was sanded smooth.

Here was my stealth gray when I had her.

I'm actually painting my new 16 handle now. Give or take about $100

It's the little things that ford thinks about. I love my gm like the rest here but you can't deny fords thinking. They also have a small led light next to the handle

Did you guys do anything fancy to prepare your handles? Or just take it to the bodyshop and tell em to have at it?

Mine's painted glossy black on white diamond. Nice offset imo versus just colormatching it. I had a body shop do all my textured plastics and they did a great job. From what they told me it did require heavy sanding/prepping though.
