2015 Sierra Denali Cilmate Control Issues

I've been having trouble trying to figure out a few issues:

1.) When ever I use the remote start, the climate controls revert to Auto with the AC light on. Is there any way to prevent this from happening and to have the car start up with the same settings that were left on from when the truck last ran? I noticed that under settings you can not turn off the Auto feature. It seems you can only select the fan speed.

2.) Under the Settings tab, under Remote Start, I have set the heated seats to come on when using remote start. So far that hasn't happened any of the times I've tried.

I've tried researching these issues through past topics but couldn't find a direct answer.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure with the AC coming on but I do know that seems to be the norm anymore in all trucks and cars. Ac runs with cool air and defrost to get rid of humidity.

As for your heated seats, as soon as you put your key into the ignition it shuts them off so if they did not heat up the seat in the short time the truck was running after the remote start you will not feel it. If it is not that cold and you extend the time after remote start for the extra 10 min. you should feel it in the seat when you get in.

From what I can tell the truck always starts up with the AC light on with the air set to Recirculate/Auto and the rear defroster on. Just wish there was a way to have it start up with the same settings that were running the last time the truck was turned off.

As far as the seats go, I don't think they've ever come on. I guess I'll bring it up next time I go in for service.

You can check with the dealer, GM released an HVAC update last year. Part of it addressed how the recir door operated when the truck was off due to dust infiltration into the cab, the other thing it did was make the HVAC module work like it has in all previous years of GM vehicles. The system goes into auto mode depending on the outside temps, under a certain setpoint and the system turns on the heat and or window defrosters, above the setpoint and the system kicks on the AC.

When you remote start, and the outside temp is cold enough, the seats do turn on although the indicating lights on the heated seat buttons are not on. The seat heater indicating lights are disabled for whatever reason when using remote start.

I have a similar complaint about the auto function. I don't understand why it doesn't switch to the forward and lower blowers as opposed to using only the blower on the dash. Seems like if you remote start and want to clear the cold air out the fastest way to do it would be to use full blast on the front and lower blowers, not just warming my windshield. In fact auto pretty much only uses the defroster blower which seems stupid. I should be able to set it on auto but with the blowers I choose on. Strange limitation.

This is correct. They also do not turn onto the "High" setting so they will just be slightly warm, not burn-your-buns hot ...

Job 'one' is to clear any frost or ice or snow from the windshield.
