Some mp3 music on SD card doesn't play in mylink

Hope someone can help me out. I have an SD card with about 10g of music on it. Most of the music plays fine, but there are some files that the mylink just doesn't see when I search for artist, song, or anything about them.

 

The files on the SD card show up and play fine when I plug it into my computer and as far as I can tell there's nothing different about the formatting of the ones that don't show up.

 

Any ideas?

I don't exactly understand how this all works, but for those of you who might be interested:

 

Turns out copying the music files onto the SD card from my laptop was the problem. Once I used my desktop to copy the same files to the SD card everything worked out OK. I don't get it, but whatever.

The only issues I've had with my thumb drive is that it will skip songs yet play the same song when I choose it off shuffle mode.
