Sounds to me like Doozer's lawyer did something right , not GM. Glad he got this one behind him.

Personal experience with Carfax. Independent body shops don't report repairs paid in cash even if the repair cost exceeds the 75% valuation for total loss purposes. Some folks go this route to keep incidents off of their driving records. Whole fleets of cars proudly showing one owner on Carfax. No indication that the single owner was Enterprise Rent a Car. Unfortunately we don't live is a perfect world full of honest people.
