WOW! I believe I'd head to the dealership and as I got close hopefully my foot wouldn't slip and I run straight through the dealership floor and hit a few showroom vehicles. Whoops, my bad!

So once again another twist to the story I found out today that the dealership my truck is at now which is the original dealership who sold the truck sold it brand new with the lift kit in the exhaust it's part of their off-road package they offer they also added the larger wheels and tires all the parts with the exception of the lift kit are General Motors Parts the list is put on by another company they said the truck to so that is how they still warranty the vehicle at that dealership because of the GM parts if there are any suspension issues than the company that does the list will take care of that so now I'm going to have to fight to have this dealer do the repair most likely in the end since they sold it the way it is and they still sell them that way its called there ridgerunner Edition which is unique to that dealer but their equivalent of a rocky ridge truck

I don't see how or why buying it from a independent broker voids the warranty? Was the attorney you talked to a vehicle specialist?

Have they actually given you a specific reason for denying the warranty yet? To me it sounds like your truck might of been tuned as that would be one of the only logical reasons in my mind where you would instantly be denied and locked from going somewhere else?

Truck hasn't been tuned I'm still waiting to hear back again from GM. I've called to let them know this truck left the dealership like this when it was sold new only thing I've changed was wheel tire setup. It had factory 22" with nitto terra grapplers I went to a 20" wheel with 35's.

So gm has called back and I was told that only the dealership who put the block on are the ones who can lift it General Motors could not lift the block it has to be the dealer so now its being reviewed by someone higher up at GM still have no decision yet as to what's going to happen

Still following this and still can't believe how little of an influence GM has on their dealers, kinda scary actually.

When I went for my first service recently and was greeted by the service dept, it was very casual. Like hey man whats up with simple yes and no answers. Everything turned into "yes sir" and "thank you sir" with smiles immediately after they asked if I had purchased the truck from them and I said yes. I've never experienced that before, such an attitude change because of a "I'm one of them mentality." I've gone to many dealers with other vehicles I purchased before that weren't from whom I purchased from, not only do they rarely ask that question but if they do and I answer no, they try 10 times harder for me to earn my business as a returning customer.

I've seen others post with similar experiences, I think a GM dealer just has too much power and ability to do what they want. Still hoping this works out for ya OP

Still waiting on GM so not sure if it's a good or bad thing since it's been 1-1/2 weeks reviewing my warranty block

There's no excuse for it taking them this long to review something. Really hoping it works out for you man.

So I called General Motors back because I haven't heard anything for two weeks leave a message again finally get a return call in the afternoon apparently the dealership they put the block on and the district manager is not giving them the information they need to determine why the block was put on initially she told me if it was up to her she would lift it for me but only the dealership or the district manager can do that she has no power to do it because they are they are not the ones who physically seen the truck since the dealership is the one who looked at it they are the only ones who can put it on and remove it he apologize for taking so long if he doesn't hear back from them soon she will escalate it but I'm thinking that needs done now I've waited long enough with the dealership not giving her the information she needs that should tell her that they are goofy so again when I hear some news I will post an update
