LED fog light pods

I'm looking to do the two led fog light pods in each of my fog light housing. I was wondering which brackets, pods and possibly wiring that I may need. I see the rigid industry brackets on their website but those are recommended for a different style of led pods than what I am interested in. I was just looking for some guidance, if anyone can help that'd be great!

I installed Rigid Industries D2 pod LED lights with their conversion kit, so they look like they were made to fit my 2015 Sierra. They are square LED lights, so I am not sure what you are looking to for. There's a great installation video on line and it was relatively easy. You do have to cut some plastic inside the hole to fit the lights but the video shows you what to do. Install took me about 3 hours and the lights plug right into the factory wire harness. They lights look GREAT on the truck, but I will tell you they are BRIGHT and I only run them in the fog or when no other vehicles are in front of me. I really don't need them as much as I used the original fog lights since replacing my factory headlight bulbs... much much better now!

The D2 is a high powered driving light. 3100 lumens each. Not for on-road use. Certainly not around other traffic. 3100 lumens each.

There is a Rigid street legal version SAE/DOT compliant 1760 lumen fog light that is the same physical housing as the D2. It has a tuned fresnel lens to make a wide, flat, sharp cutoff, beam, with little scatter. I have these and other higher powered driving lights.

TRS also now has a direct fit fog light that fits exactly in place of the OEM light. It uses the OEM adjusters, connectors, etc.. 1200 lumens each.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think I will end up going with the rigid brackets and the rough country pods since the rigid pods are ridiculously expensive.

Ive read on a few threads that the D2's will fit the rigid mounting brackets just fine. You will have to shave some plastic around them but not much. If you research on here some I'm pretty sure there is a thread or two on the Rigid D2 fog lights. Not positive though.

What did you replace your factory headlight bulbs with?

Hey akkrez, what plastic are you talking about shaving? The plastic on the truck's fog light housing or the plastic on the pods?

You have to shave/cut some of the plastic of the foglight housing. Not much though. Thats only if you run the D2's though. If you get the lights that rigid recommends with the mounts they sell, you do not have to cut anything. But the D2's look a lot better. Thats the route Im going to go eventually

i did the rigid industries light bracket and installed 2 pods on each side rough country lights. i also hooked them into the factory fog light wires as the leds draw less than incadescent lights

Which rigid brackets did you go with? The ones for the 14-15 silverado for $59.99 or the ones for the 07-13 for $79.99?

I used the 14-16 brackets and work awesome. I used the plug from the factory fog light bulb and soldered the fog light wires to that plug to make it all plug and play.

The $265.99 is only for two of the lights, right? So if I want four (2 for each side) I will have to buy two sets?
