I've got a Bedrug and Bakflip VP...mine doesn't leak even from hard Texas down pours or the car wash...here's what I did...

1) Sealed the bed...I did use a bed seal kit which seals the rails and tailgate...you'd be amazed at how much dust and water drip in...there is also a seal along the front seam (fits completely side to side) of the bed where the bed floor meets the bed side behind the cab...

2) Drains... I used the front two outer two flexible tie down plastic caps...drilled a hole in each one, used 90 degree elbows out toward the cab into another elbow to go out toward the cab and down. Any water that needs to exit, just goes out between the bed and cab...also no kinks in the plastic drain lines...

3) Bedrug...installed the Bedrug and notched where necessary for the bed lights and tie downs. No holes for drains because they run behind the Bedrug.

Second time I've done it this way...nice hardware store trip...nice finished look...

Here's the bed seal kit I used. I can't take pictures of it since it is underneath my Bedrug. Look at their pictures. It will show how it's installed. The foam blocks go under the bed rails since there is a lot of open slots under there...

Here's the drain tube between the bed and cab. I don't have any pictures from the bed side, but basically remove the two outer tie down cover and drill holes in the them so that the tubing can pass through. Measure down from where the drain tube attaches to the rail to the tie down hole and cut the tube accordingly. Attach an elbow to the downward tube. Cut a straight piece of tube long enough to go from the elbow past the outer bed edge. Attach another elbow to this straight piece, and finally attach another piece of tube that can hang between the cab and bed. After it is assembled, feed the assembly through the plastic tie down cover and snap the plastic cover back in. Put a little silicone sealer around the tube where it meets the plastic cover. Repeat on other side.

Bak flip cs, not quite as low profile as a regular bak flip cover because of the rails for the rack.

leaks a little bit at the cab end, going to seal it better to keep everything dry, have the drain tube routed between cab and bed, works good for the quick install I did.

Thanks man! I really like your setup. Only thing I'm not sure about is how did you do this without cutting a hole/notch in the bedrug? You said in your other post that the drains run behind the bedrug, but with the placement of where those caps are I can't envision how you ran the tubes behind it since the bedrug comes all the way to the top of the bulkhead.

I recommend the Truxedo lo pro qt as well.

I have had mine for three years now and it still looks and works good. Very easy to operate and remove completely if you have to.

I also looked at the BAK Roll X but I couldn't justify the price. I got my Truxedo for $475 out the door installed at a local dealer. The BAK would have been $950 at the time.

My right side drain tube on my undercover flex is run the same way.

On difference is I used 90 degree pvc elbows to cut route route it out the anchor hole.

Yeah, I was going to do that and even bought the extra elbows - keeps the tube from collapsing. I thought I'd try it this way first. Can always add more elbows later..for now it seems to work fine. Either way works. Thanks.
