Bilstein 5100 Top Nut

Any of you guys having issues with the top nut on your struts getting loose? Every week I'm using a vice grip and a 15mm wrench tightening it up. Im getting these clunking noises over bumps. The noise goes away then eventually comes back after hitting all the potholes on these horrible roads in New England.

I had the dealer look at it today. They checked all the connections and said everything was tight. I have to drop it off next week so they can further investigate.

Just put another nut on it and lock it down. Double nut.

I've never checked but now I'm scared! Double nut would be the way to go though! ^^

Should not be loosening on their own. You sure someone is not messing with your nuts at night?

You can double nut it or loctite it.

I had these Same problems! Took it to a shop and they took an air impact to it. Not to tight but just to get it snug. Haven't had a problem since. I was out thee everyday trying to tighten it enough before that. No noises now
