Max Tire size on a Stock Height 2015 2500HD

How wide are the stock 20" wheels? I'm thinking of going with 295/55/20 as these are closest to the stock 265/60/20 that came on the truck.

Would the the stock 20" wheels be wide enough?

The stock 20s are 8.5" wide. 295/55r20s will be just fine on them. I, and many other people are running 305/55r20s on them with no problems.

Geektoad, you're running 305 55 20 with no leveling kit and no rubbing? I have a '16 2500 with stock 20's and am going back and forth , measuring, etc.. to see what I can fit.. debating with getting a level kit.. hearing good and bad about them..I want the bf goodrich ko2's.. 275 65 r20 which are 34" but same width as stock tire.. would like wider ones...

I'm running a suspension maxx level kit on mine. It's not fully level, because I wanted to my angles in decent shape and i also didn't want to be nose up when towing/hauling. I've seen quite a few others say they run 305s without a level though.

 

I've probably dropped in mpg, but I'm all over the place in what i do with the truck...short trips, highway, towing, hauling, etc. so it's hard to really have a good feel on mileage. It's also only got 6800 miles on it, so it's not even fully broken in yet, so mileage will still improve a bit over time.

Nice! That's the level kit I was looking at.. I want to go 2" in the front and 1" in the rear to have about 1" of rake.. you're right about having the front end too high.. a lot of people make that mistake and the back end drags and looks ridiculous... good luck with your truck!!.thanks for the response..

Ran LT275/65R20 BFG KO2's on Factory Denali 20" wheels on my 2015.5 2500. Didn't touch a thing - no rubbing.

 

Just purchased 2017 3500 Denali HD Duramax. Only come with 18" wheel from factory - moved to same 20" wheels as 2500 with same 275/65 but Michelin LTX Defender M/S. Same result. No rubbing, didn't touch keys, body or fender liners.

2017 Denali HD 2" Leveling kit 275/65 20 Michelin LTX Defender M/S.no rubbing at all. did not affect ride at all. Very pleased with upgrade>

I saw a set of 285/75r18 toyo AT2's on a truck and they looked great. Anyone running that size on there truck? Any mod's need or can I run that size with the stock set up?
