L96 to t56 transmission flywheel and clutch options

06 L96 vortec 6.0 engine. (Crank is not extended)

T56 transmission (bolts up fine)

 

Pulling my hair out on this one. Mainly cause i dont know the differences in the engines to decide on.

 

I need a clutch kit and flywheel to work properly

 

What will work in this setup. I cant find any info for a l96 but everything for lq4 and the other iron block truck motors with a t56 trans.

it does get confusing, the labels even overlap sometimes from previous generations.

L96 seems to be its own label.

generation 4 smallblock. Could start there.

LS2 seems to be the "progenitor" of that engine.

 

based on oem horses.. go with anything that fits. You are not exceeding anything.

Try searching on the interwebs for LY6 and T56 swaps. LY6 and L96 are the same engine (only diff. I think is flex fuel on L96 where LY6 is not flex fuel), and many LY6 swaps are out there.
