6.2L are no longer on constraint (at least for now). ARI site says build out times are 9-12 weeks.

The reason 6.2L's were on constraint was because of the rear axle associated with it. Not emissions, not sales goals, none of that stuff. I spoke with some GM reps in 'the know' and they explained to me the axles were the issue.

the axels on the 6.2 were the same as the 5.3, unless it was a max trailer pack 6.2 I thought

I usually browse daily to see what is out there and they seem far and few between at least in Colorado. Almost every dealer around here in Denalis, High Countries, LTZ's, SLT's are still coming with the 5.3. Ideally, I would love to find an LTZ/SLT with a 6.2 as that is all I would really want.

I believe it is the max tow 5.3's that use the same as all the 6.2's.

 

(max tow 5.3 adds 9.76" rear axle, but 6.2 already has it)
