This time getting a superficial ticking noise taken care of. Also getting a trim level relearn as I never corrected for the 1" rear block. I found a bulletin on the c7 regarding the belt tensioner that sounds exactly like what I am hearing lets just hope sunrise gmc of Memphis can accept their solutions off of a silver platter lol it's amazing how much I have to beat into their heads that I know what the heck I am talking about!!!!

Thanks a lot they actually just called and want me to come get it. Although the tensioner on the truck is not hydraulic they did replace it and successfully performed a trim height calibration

When were you hearing the ticking? At idle or acceleration?

I'm hearing this particular tick mainly under load at low rpm. Like any time I lug the motor. I'm almost to the point I think i could be hearing egr noises or maybe a lifter.

Nope still got the noise. I'll post heRe when I find it. I think it may be egr noise

I wonder if these trucks have a built-in "relearn" mode for shoddy workmanship.

What designation is the 6.2 in the trucks? Is it anything similar to the L99?

L86 ecotec3. Closest kin is the lt1 in the c7

I would ask for a competent service tech that can at least spell, let alone work on a 50k vehicle. Some are typos, some are clearly spelled wrong.

I'm thinking it may just be due to my afe or headers. I'm gonna go over all of that again.
