My Latest Mods - My Denali is Bi-Polar!!!

I admit, I like both the street and off-road looks. When I bought my Denali I leaned toward the street look as that's where it spends most of it's time. Well, I'm headed to Colorado in a week so I decided to tweak a few things so that I wouldn't be afraid to drive off the paved road.

I found a good deal on some All-Terain X / Midnight Edition wheels and removed the running boards. That's it. It would look better with a level, but I'm leaving in a week so don't have time for that. I'll probably remove the mudflaps for my trip. Maybe the lower valence too. I literally fell out of my truck the first time getting down without the steps. My wife saw the whole thing. I'll need to get used to that!

 

Now if I could just keep it clean!

 

I'm keeping the 22's so that I can switch back and forth. The wheels came with 265/65/R18 Duratracs, but I found a good deal on a set of 275/65/R18 Duratracs and swapped them out. They're like 0.6" taller. I have the original ones for sale locally (DFW) if anybody is interested (PM me).

I'm usually not a fan of black wheels but that looks damn good with the dark blue.

IMO leave the mudflaps on to save the paint because those tires will throw rocks.

I think I will leave the mud flaps on. I think I got them for like $70, so better to replace if damaged than take a chance with the paint. Which reminds me, I noticed several paint chips on my sides when I was washing it this time. Very odd.

I like them both ways 22" & 20", yeah not feeling the mud flaps, but In understand rock chips and keeping the paint nice. I still prefer my chrome 20", where are you at in DFW?

Both wheels look great. I like the idea of being able to switch them back and forth. I would love to have a set of black wheels to swap out. Wish I had room in my garage for an extra set. Between my fishing gear, kids weights, and all the other crap we can't even fit my wife's dinky Infinity in there.
