Has WeatherTech lost its touch?

The Husky liners in my Cruze don't fit well either. There is a gap between the liner and the door lip. Plus the hold down holes don't fit the pegs in the floor unless you lubricate them and press really hard.

Yep, same exact issues I have as well. Seems like it is definitely a WT issues, and not an issue with the Cruze since I'm not the only one with issues.

I've been wanting to order a set of Husky Liners for the Cruze, but I just haven't given in to that idea yet.

Haha I sure did. Not sure how I missed that part. I guess it pays to just keep the regular floor mats then...

I have to say that I wish I would have bought the Huskey over the weather techs for my front mats. I think I am going to take a heat gun and try to reshape them so they stop folding into the driver and passenger area. I have no problems with the rear mat. I was alos very dissapointed with the weathertech window visors. The rear visors arrived with broken edges on each corner and I was told "thats how they come, They will work fine!" I sent them back and ate $22 in shipping fees for the refund.

Husky WeatherBeaters!!

Ive seen WT in other vehicles and have not been impressed with it at all. Family has the full on whole piece for the back of a Denali Suburban and it took months before it finally settled. They were cleaned one time and were slick as s***, I slipped getting in a few times.

And from personal experience the WeatherBeaters fit like a glove in my '15 CC, so glad I found whatever thread it was that talked about Husky. Took maybe a week for the back piece to settle in (thats with no one ever stepping on it). Driver and passenger had no problems out the box.

I dont think there is difference between the X-act& WeatherBeater besides the pattern on the mat. Correct me if Im wrong though

on the wagon as well, not a fan, they dont fit perfect like the laser cut says they will, and after all thats what they advertise, again not horrible but not great, my biggest bitch was the front and rears are not the same, they dont match or feel the same, back fits mint bye the way. I called CS after seeking out my dealer and three sets that they had, CS basically told me to shove it,

The xact is more rubbery. The weatherbeaters are a bit more plastic feeling. You can definitely tell the difference between the two. The xact feels more heavy duty, though the weatherbeaters are no slouch.

I have been using the Aeries 3D mats on both my 13 and current 15 Sierra's and the fit and finish are fantastic, they are so well formed that I dropped the factory rubber mats right in to them!

I'd like to see the Aeries in your '15 if you have a couple pictures.

Are these what your Areies mats look like?

Threw some WeatherTechs in my friends 16 carpeted WT trim Silvy last night, fit better in his truck than my 15 SLT. Huskyliner is another good option and a bit cheaper, Enthuze has a much cheaper, less fitted version, i believe GM has their own WeatherTech ripoff now too which are probably more dough but a garenteed fit. Weathertech will send you new ones if you provide pictures on how poorly they fit.

After much research and numerous bad reviews on fit of the WeatherTech for the K2 trucks, I decided to go with the Husky X-Act Contour. Good decision. Fit and finish is perfect, very easy to clean and they always look good.

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
