Has WeatherTech lost its touch?

I ordered floor liners for my truck. They arrived today. I beleive they are going back faster than they arrived.

I had them on my '07 Sierra, and they fit like a glove. I mean, it looked like they were poured in as a liquid, and "set" in the truck.

These for the 2016? Not so much.

Of course, when I called, the CSR did everything she could to convince me I ordered the wrong part. They back-tracked on that pretty quickly when I read the part number off of the floor liner.

I dunno, what the heck happened to WT. Not the WT I remember. They also supplied the Tech Grip things that snap to the floor liner, and, supposedly snap onto the nubs on the carpet. They don't fit the carpet nubs by a long shot.

(???)

There are some threads on here about the floor liners . I think some other people were complaining too about how th WT's fit . I have the Huskys weatherbeaters and they fit like a glove!

I had the same problems. I switched to husky liner x-act fit, and I love them. Nice soft flexible liners that hold spills, and fit perfectly.

I work in a chemical factory, those things probably cost about 5 bucks to make. Way over priced. I.M.O.

WT used to be good but they are total garbage now. I have them In my 07 Yukon XL and they are much thicker than the ones the sell now. When I got my 14 AT, I bought them in black. Noticeably thinner and do not stay in place. The hold down mechanism in the new ones are garbage too. Called and talked to a rep, and after a lengthy discussion and avoiding answering my question, finally admitted that they are being manufactured now with less material. I would never buy them again. I have seen lots of advertisement commercials on tv about WT mats lately and had never seen them before. Maybe business isn't so good due to the change in material use.

I was going to put Weathertech mats in mine until I read all of the fitment issues in these K2s. So if I even go with molded mats I'm going with Husky X-Act since those have a more of a rubber feel where Weathertechs and the other Husky mats have a hard plastic feel. I haven't bought any because I still don't know if I want to pay that kind of money for whats just molded floormats.

I had WTs in my 01, 09 (liked them) and 14 (fit but not well). When my wife got her Traverse I ordered a set of Huskys for it. I'd let her test them for me. After seeing how they were in her car I ordered Huskys for my new 16. The WT do not have anything to bind them to the floor on the passenger side My wife was always complaining that they slip under her feet when she gets in. The new Huskys fit like a glove. However the rear mat in my crew cab kinda looks scratched now that I have been loading things on it. I hope an application of protectant will cure this.

Hey, WT has to pay that huge advertising budget don't you know? Multi-page four color in all the nationally distributed automotive magazines. And I recall hearing brother Dave but have to assume that's radio not tv.

You can shave 33% of the material off all the mats they sell and skip putting tape on the in-channel window deflectors and save enough to pay for his picture in the ads. He's a celebrity.

What part of this might I be making up? Hint: none.

I have the WTs in mine, based on your pics it looks like you may is canted to the right in the back and not seated on the retainer clips properly, My driver side mat fits fine, the edges on my passenger side keeps getting deformed and slide around. The back fits perfectly. I've thought about selling my fronts and getting the Hisky Contours. The GM liners look nice but I don't like how the area under the gas pedal is exposed.
