Seat comfort

I have an 02 Silverado and I am very happy with the comfort of the cloth seats. When I test drove a 2016 Silverado 1500 I didn't find them comfortable. I am not sure if it is because they are not broken in, are you happy with the comfort of your cloth seats in the '14 - '16 Silverado and do they get better as they break in?

The seats in my '16 were awful at first. After 10,000 km, they are a little better, but still not too comfortable.

The seats in my 2014 and my 2016 All Terrain are great.

I can't compare to a '02, but when I was looking at trucks, I had a loaner from each of the big 3. The ford was the worst for seat comfort, IMHO, and the Ram was best. To my backside, the GM twins were a close 2nd to the Ram. I am comfortable in it, no complaints. I'm 6', 185 lbs.

Could be better but they are far from worst seats I ever sat in. They are swapping to a different seat manufacturer in 2018 ... apparently ... so even GM thinks they could be better.

The cloth seats in my '14 are relatively comfortable; however, the seats in my old '97 were fabulously comfortable! I miss them.

I find the seats rather comfortable in my 2014 or much better than the Tacoma I previously owned. I have heard that the seats were given more padding for 2016, but I can't compare since I haven't ridden or driven in one. I think comfort is a subjective thing. What might be comfortable for one may not be for another. The seats in the current model are manufactured by Lear corporation. Apparently for the next redesign, GM is going to give Lear more headway in designing the seats as opposed to GM dictating the design due to changes in production.

Have both an '03 and a '15 and find the new one more comfortable. Specially on longer trips.

My '15 Denali seats are the most comfortable seats I've had in a truck. First truck I've had where I didn't feel the need to get out and stretch after a multi-hour trip.

They are ok. Could be better for sure but could be worse. I prefer the seats from 99-06 much more. These you sit on vs sitting in. Plus i hate the material. Very coarse vs soft like they used to be. Makes me think of something you should find in a work truck.

I've had better, I've had worse. Too narrow and the bolsters are WAY overblown. Most if not all new seats are like that now, I don't get it. Give me a good old bench seat from the 70's.

I agree, not the worst, but not the best....fairly comfortable 2016 leather.

I also have a 13 explorer XLT with leather buckets and man are those seats comfortable!!

You can't compair a GMT 800 seat to a K2 seat. Not even in the same class of comfort. The 800's set the standard for nice soft yet supportive seats with an arm rest that could be fiped out of the way if you wished. You just get used to firmer K2 leather seats until you set foot in a 800 again, then it starts all over. One credit is the AC seats work a ton better in the K2 beacuse the 800's did not offer them.

I will say, My '99 Seats felt better than my 2016 GMC. With that being said, My truck is brand new so it may take a bit for braking in...I hope.
