I saw a snowmobile ramp for my truck that looks pretty decent and I'm think of picking it up for those times when I only need to take one sled with me. It would be much easier than hauling out the trailer when it's really not needed.

Anybody else do this? I'm going to also have to probably put some plywood in the bed to protect it from the studs on the track.

I have a ramp, its the Black Ice one. It comes in two lengths I think, Ive got the longer for less incline. Really works great and I feel more secure going up it since it straps to your hitch.

Since it's so long tho you gotta have someone lift the sled so it can be slid under the track so you can take the ramp with you. We even use it on the trailer sometimes instead of using the tilt LOL.

We're headed to the Novi Snow Show one day this weekend, its like the kick off for the season to us.

Thanks for the info Nick! I'll have to see if one of the ones I'm looking at attaches to the hitch. I really like that idea. I've always used a trailer but not I only take on sled with me most of the time so this seems like an easier idea..

No Problem!

So I splurged a little bit at the Novi Snow Show this weekend... bought Klim Keweenaw bibs. The vendor threw in a pair of Aggressor 2.0 base layer pants for free (no more flanel plants + jeans under layer anymore haha). I suppose it was time... been wearing the same bibs since 8th grade and I'm almost 25 years old now, so I think I got my moneys worth. Next year I'll likely get a Klim coat and that'll be it!

I can't find anything on the 'net but there's a guy in the Port Perry area (Rampman) that makes a "Lock & Roll" set up. I've made a similar one & you can load & unload your sled by yourself.

Earlier this fall I had the front shocks on my '07 MXZ600 serviced & I reinstalled them. Last fall I turned new A arm bushings for it. The sled has over 16,000 miles on it (new motor 2 years ago), but am quite happy w/ it.

If you're looking for Ontario sledding info, check this site taht I help out w/:

Hopefully you guys will be able to get some riding in this year with some nice fluffy white stuff.

Just curious, what lubricants do you guys use? Also do you flog your engines at the end of the season before putting your sleds away?

Outside pipe is set up for a sled w/ Pilot skis. If the sled has the old school single keel ski, 2 bars are used on either side.

I think newer versions are aluminum.

So uhhh, who is riding lol what a horrible couple weeks it's been. Makes me more happy I opted to buy a jetski than a new sled!! My 09 ETec should last quite a while.
