HELP!

I forgot my windows down last night and it poured rain all night! [emoji27]

What's the best way to dry this thing out. It's still raining here today. I've got the heater and AC blasting with a fan blowing around in there. Perforated leather seats pretty much saturated through. Roof is soaked also.

Dude, that sucks. Sorry! I've had this happen a few times (other vehicles). Good news is, likely you won't have any long term issues. In the meantime, you're doing about all you can do. I would get in there with towels or maybe some absorber type drying cloths and soak up as much as you can. Put the towels in the seats and sit on them (wear clothes you don't mind getting wet!). This will draw out as much of the water as possible. Open all the windows, get it hot and move as much air as you can. If you have vented seats, don't turn them on for a while but when things aren't dripping wet, go ahead and run those too. Will help tremendously. If your doors got wet, may want to pull the door panels off. Good luck!

I've sucked up quite a bit with the shop vac. The leather seams all saggy now,. Hopefully it tightens up. I've got the seat heaters on, havent turned the AC seats on yet

Shop vac is a great idea. As for the seat heaters, I'm sure that the heat will help but as I've never dissected these seats, I couldn't tell you if the heating elements themselves are waterproof. If not, may want to reconsider.

If you don't mind the wet ride, could run down to the car wash. They usually have those powerful vacs with the wide and narrow nozzles. Good for water extraction from carpet. If you have a shampooer of some sort, that'd be perfect as well. Those types of devices seem to pull out even more than a shop vac alone.

Thanks for the input. It seems to be drying out slowly,. Of course it's been pouring rain and cold all day which isn't helping. I'm not too worried about it as long as it doesn't stink after :s

I was going to say shop vac and space heaters. If you don't have a garage, ask a friend. Need it out of the rain, with everything open, fans going and space heaters to dry it out. You can rent an industrial fan to dry it out.

No need for a heater, just use the blowers. dry it out via normal air circulating, not heated air, that will do damage/humidity.

You'll be just fine, by the way. Many of us have done things like that before.

Why not just call your insurance company and let them replace you complete interior. It will never be the same after being wet.

To my amazement the headliner dried first and spot free! The truck dried up nicely, leather is tight again and it doesn't stink! Heated/cooled seats working still.
