whats that do? focus the sound into the cabin instead of leaking between the door panels.

Yes Exactly. as you can see in the pictures the factory speakers has this.. it makes a seal of sorts from the speaker to the door skin. so most/all the sound goes out the door instead of behind the door skin.

Can you reload the pics? I’d like to see how this all came together as I’m thinking about doing the same this winter.

Noticed that my left rear speaker is blown, a few months ago.  Looking at replacing all with new/better speakers.  Thanks for the list.

Have to order some sound deadener mats. Replacing the speakers soon.

Where is the best, most effective spot to place the mats?

Thanks

The sound matting

Deadener aka cld should have 25% coverage on the doors and back wall.  Closed cell foam should be 100% coverage over that on the doors and back wall

(Doors and back wall need this regardless but anymore is up to you. Doors and back wall is just a minimum)

Great info. This is great info! Bummer is the SunDowns are no longer available. I’ve looked for other 2.75s but the reviews are horrible compared to those. Not sure what to do here.
