I picked up a new air compressor for my garage yesterday.  60 gallon two stage from Harbor Freight.  I scored it for $250 during their parking lot sale.  45 minute drive home in the back of my truck.

They give you a plastic insert that goes in the slot for the original piece's retaining clip and a long screw. It holds good, I have it screwed in right now but just the boost gauge is installed

I've never seen a right hand drive full pillar pod for a Silverado. Why can't you just use the stock pillar?

oh ok, I see what you mean now.  You're just gonna have to use a long self tapping screw into the be pillar I guess.  Then you're going to see the screw.  That's what I don't like about this pod.  The body shop gave me some extra paint so when I'm done with it all I'll paint the screw head.

Can you get a picture of the insert and where in the pillar area itself the insert goes? I just pulled a pillar off and i have no idea where it would go. Also what thread is the insert and bolt

Here's a pic off the install instructions.  It just goes in the slot for the top clip. The screw is a long sheetmetel screw.  I'll measure it next time I pull it out.
