Battery already seems weak.

Dirt cold day here in TX. Temp went from 80 degrees to 22 degrees this morning. I have a '16 Chevy that I got 4 of July wknd and it seemed like it didn't want to start. Think I might have to go get an Interstate battery like I did for my '11 so I do t get stuck with a dead battery in NM after Xmas.

I have a '15 Sierra and noticed the same. Here in AR we experienced the same weather change.

Did the engine crank noticeably slower or just crank longer? It's normal for these DI motors to crank longer to build fuel pressure.

Happens a lot with the Silverados. The best batteries get put in the GMCs.

It's OK, a GMC is only a Silverado with ladies silk underwear. :P

Xs power battery. I've had the same one in my nose for about 6 years. I won't see anything else. I need to grab one for my k2. All of my vehicles have them

Yeah they nothing special when it gets to 0 or below. But like GM corporate says...Only a few states have cod weather just like a few states use ice control. Our batteries and undercoatings are perfectly fine for most states. lol

As has already been said, the direct injection engines can crank for much longer than most of us are used to. Not a battery issue.

Interstate has been my replacement battery of choice in the past. However, with your truck being so new, I would go for warranty if your current battery is faulty.

Take a look at Deka. Been hearing good things about them from fleet owners.

Mine cranks much longer when I'm running corn.

The most important aspect to maintain a healthy battery is to keep it fully charged. Throw a smart charger on it every once in a while (especially if you run short trips) will keep it in better health and last longer.
