Yup, as mentioned, each key fob is matched to one of two memory seat settings. Also some options aren't present or customizable while the vehicle is running or driving. Did you try turning the key to "acc"? I know one of the first things i do when i buy a car is I RTFM before i write it off as a defective product.

^ I would try engine OFF, key to the ON position. Then go through the screen and see what you see. Some features disappear when the engine is running.

Just wanted to let everyone know that resetting the radio options (forget what the actual name is) back to factory settings seemed to give me all my Comfort options back to change. I turned them all off. So different Key faubs = different memory seat setting???

OP has couple minor complaints and it is a crappy brand, funny since most people have no issues (as with every brand there will be those that have bad luck) as mine has been pretty much perfect. You don't like it move on, joining a forum to complain and insult isn't helping your case. Maybe you should make friends with a Ford owner or better yet a Dodge, ya let us know how those trucks are doing, they all have a laundry list of complaints...

These threads sure get old, hope you get what ever it is you were looking to get out of joining here!

My previous $70,000 Tahoe was in the shop 30 times for stuff Chevy 'built' wrong... I'm not trying to sound like a jerk by dropping the price, but when it's my money and the product is "crappy", I have a right to call it that. I understand that your's might be great, and I will never buy a Ford, because they are even worse in my opinion.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their opinions and help. I'm happy to see such an active forum for trucks. I previously only used forums for electronics. Now I have another one to browse to learn 'truck tricks'.

If you paid $70k your friend ripped you off. Maybe he is just selling you the lemons that get returned? I dilike my clunky transmission in this truck but I have owned enough vehicles now that I know it could and usually can be much worse in terms of things you find that you don't like. My sensors up front have been getting iced over as well but there really isn't anything you can do about that, it is not manufacturer specific.

If BMW or Mercedes made a truck (and it could actually work as well as cruise) then I would buy it in a heartbeat. Absolutely no issues with either of those brands for me, but that is about as far as my trouble free vehicles go.

And yes, different auto memory setting for each key fob so that when there are multiple drivers they can each have their own auto memory setting kick in. It is quite smart actually.

I didn't pay that for the Tahoe. And I totally agree, I wish I could get a Benz or a Beamer pickup.

Just take both keys out there once you've set your seat and mirror memory. Unlock with both and see what position the seat/mirrors goes to with each, or program setting 1 and 2 identical and you can use either one for the same.

What happens with the key fobs is the dealer loses one of the original keys (#1 or 2). They have another key and remote made and the lazy (or just stupid) tech in the service dept programs it as "next available slot" with takes 5 minutes and it adds it as key #3. So you have 3 keys programmed to your vehicle. the lost # 1 or 2, the # 1 or 2 that you have, and now # 3. Memory features don't work with keys #3 and higher.

What they should do in this case is delete all keys first and then relearn them. This takes about 20 minutes tops. That way your one original key and the new key get programmed as # 1 and 2 and you memory features will work correctly.

This is from the manual... Last night I had all the options, this morning, I have only CHIME VOLUME.

Comfort and Convenience

Select and the following may display:

  • . Auto Memory Recall
  • . Easy Exit Options
  • . Chime Volume
  • . Reverse Tilt Mirror
  • . Auto Mirror Folding

I had the same issue. The problem was the truck was running. Turned it off and settings came back.

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
