Anyone thinking of running one of these hoods on there 2015 or 2016 2500hd? I have a gasser not a Dmax ,still think the hood makes the truck look pretty killer ..Waiting for my dealer to get back to me on price and availability.. think the ram air will drop in to the k&n intake nicely..

$708.97 for the hood, $158.25 for the chrome inlet, $96.37 for the insulator, $307.78 for the duct work. I may or may not have thought about it. The ducting goes into the hood, and then that dumps into the factory air box. The air box has an inlet that seals to the hood and it has the traditional fender inlet still. And, if the air box would work, that's another $251.52.

Same lol. I've reached the conclusion that retail price is enough to make me decide I really can't justify it enough to bug the parts guys on what my cost would be

You're not. On this forum at this time, maybe. Over on duramax forum there's a couple page thread on it, and I think someone said there's a facebook group with several successful conversions. Couldn't tell ya on that one, don't use facebook.

My truck is a gas job , don't really think that matters after looking at pics of both engine bays think I'll be good... going to definitely check the duramax forums

The 2017 is pretty different under the hood compared to the 16.

Well if it makes any difference just spoke to a guy in the NYC who had the dealer install the Dmax hood on a 6.0 2500 ,or he would not take the truck. So truth be told it'll go no problem with the gasser... looks like it's time to order it up and make it happen

I wish I could put one of these hoods on without the functioning intake. The hoods look like something a middle schooler designed on the bottom side. I like the look of the outside but could not care less about the functionality.
