Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all those have left me feedback and have purchased my harnesses, DIY Kits, or Services.

I take great pride in stuff I put out there and wouldn't ever put anything out there that I wouldn't install in my own truck.

I am big on OEM and on keeping things Factory... or at least how GM would have done it.

I hope that others out there thinking about this upgrade will know that I try provide the BEST possible support, fast response, and a $ back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Holiday Weekend!

Hi Pgamboa,

I am interested in talking with you about buying one of your plug and play harnesses and any advice you may have on upgrading to towing mirrors. I just recently purchased a 2015 silverado and would like to add towing mirrors with the turn signals integraded (power folding is a plus) but i have the dl8 mirrors.

thank you,

Thanks! There are no Power Telescoping Tow Mirrors out for these trucks. OEM mirrors are also manual telescoping.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Sad to hear :(. I live in urban sprawl, and it'd be mighty handy to be able to suck them in while navigating, while still being able to see. Still, I'm getting more and more convinced I want these. I'll know with my first camper pull (though we will be renting a smaller 20ft camper). My only reservation is the fact my truck is a lease. I'll need to keep the old mirrors and harnesses and convert everything back at the end of the lease, which means I can't sell the parts for $$. Still thinking about it though. Thanks!

Some photos of my mirror upgrades. I went with the 1A Auto after market as they are available in all black (I am trying to get some of the chrome off my truck!) as a fully featured tow mirror and have slick smoked turn signals rather than amber. Fit and finish of the mirrors is decent, maybe not 100% as good as OEM, but work well with little to complain about as well as having rear facing cargo lights AND puddle lights (not available on OEM).

I installed them myself and couldn't have been easier with pgamboa's plug and play custom harnesses. Worked like a dream first go around. Dealing with Phil couldn't have been smoother from his communication, to the factory appearance of his harnesses to the timely completion of the work. Drop shipped the mirrors to him for his necessary modifications and all was on my doorstep as and when promised.

Thank you sir!!

Thanks for the feedback and posting photos! It's good to see where the stuff I work on ends up. I like the black caps and smoke lens against the wheels you've got. I was actually looking at this exact wheels last night! :). Nice truck you got there!

Hello, I'm interested in upgrading my power fold heat turn signal (DL8) to the two mirrors . Do you offer a complete kit, with mirrors and all harness needed to make work 100%. I have access to the '16 tow mirrors off a gasser, but am told they won't work properly on my diesel.

Shoot me a PM if you can supply a kit.

Thanks in advance, Dan

he doesn't supply mirrors. you'll need the K-40 option mirrors I believe or at least the passenger mirror with the temp sensor

Hey, Phil,

Don't mean to thread jack but figured this might be a better spot to ask than starting an all new thread.....

Is there anyone out there that would like to trade OEM towing mirrors "back-caps"?

I have chrome and would like to trade for textured black.

Absolutely right. :) The only mirrors I have are those from members who purchase from aftermarket and send them to me to make PnP.

As for the temp sensor, I have come across a mirror set from 1A Auto that didn't come with the K40 option. After further investigation (because I like taking things apart), noticed that 1A Auto had the temp sensor circuit present in their mirror connector harness. Behind the glass, the 2-pin connector for the sensor was there but not plugged into anything (because its the model without the K40 option). So I think all their mirrors has the circuit present, landed on the connector, with the other end tucked away behind the glass. Then all they do is ship the bottom mirror cap with the sensor module there for you to plug in.

Not a problem. If you have issue finding someone to trade your chrome, check out Boost Auto Parts. They stock tow mirror caps. They have black textured along with smooth paint to match ones too. Good Luck!

Funny you mention that. I was going to buy a set from them but when I went to order the other night the black textured is crossed out on their site. Only the carbon hydro shows as available :/

    • Looking for help!   2019 GMC Sierra 1500 - 5.3l 4x4 8l90 61k miles - truck is in Arizona, was over 110 outside on Monday when this whole situation transpired. Never had any major issues with transmission until this point:   Truck sat outside my construction office for approx 1 hour idling before I realized, ran around the job site wrapping some things up for the day and then left. Went to get food and sat in the drive through for approx 30 minutes idling. As soon as I pull out of the drive through and onto the main road, rear tires lock up and feels like transmission fell out of the truck. Shifted to park, shut the truck off and tried again, same thing happened. Was able to reverse into parking lot (truck slammed into reverse). Let the truck sit turned off for 10 minutes before trying again, but it continued to happen. Towed truck back to my house. Highest the trans temps reached was 198.   Friday, after work I start looking into the situation. Truck sat in my driveway untouched all week. Truck is now driving like normal, transmission doesn’t get over 185 degrees when trying to heat it up. Got up to 60 multiples times with no issues, no issues accelerating, only down shifted hard into first one time at 185 degrees. Does anyone have any insight? Never through a code or a check engine light. Truck has never been used to tow either. No transmission services at this point.
    • Atlas won.   I know better, but I did it anyway. I took a compressed air line with a chuck and rubber tip and jammed it in the open EGR port. The port was clear as far as I could see, and as far as I could poke with a flexible wire, but that doesn't mean it's not clogged.   Compressed air blew back at me along with a cloud of black. Oops. I didn't have the rubber tip seated in there all the way. Jammed it up in there some more and squeezed the chuck. PSI was set to 120. Poof! It blew back at me again. Third time...pfffffttssssssspffffffsssfffffff, face full of carbon, and then, kind of a thud..and the air stopped spraying back at me. It was now exiting the exhaust with a low shhhhhh sound as it flowed through the pipe. Something broke free. I pressurized the port again, and air flowed.   Made my day.   Long story short on this problem, it's fixed. Something was really blocking the EGR passages down low, and compressed air blew it apart. I don't recommend this as who knows what debris was sent where. But it's allowed me to move forward, mentally, and onto the next problems I need to get this little S-Blazer going down the road properly again.
    • Your truck lowered, looks good. I'm happy with the stance on this. I may need the extra ground clearance given my location/situation.
    • With this new pan, do you still use the same procedure to check the level? Its a deeper pan and our trucks do not have a fill tube/dipstick. So fill till fluid runs out the check plug?
