2016 HD gas rear Differential size?

Just wondering if anyone knows what size the Silverado/Seirra 2500HD have for rear axle size with the 6.0l gas?? I know that my old 2001 HD that i just sold had the 10.5 but with slightly smaller brakes. Have they gone to the 11.5 For 16?? Thought the Diesel's got upgraded to 11.8?

6.0s get the 10.5, Duramax gets the 11.5

have a look at the gm specs for ground clearance of the 2500 vs the 3500. i wonder if the rear diff is why the 2500 has so much more?

Probably, the 3500 is a 11.50"...

Hmm. Really wish they would just put the one diff in all the HD's. I hate having to order specific parts when doing the brakes etc. Especially since the counter guys normally get it wrong!

You got that right! But then again the parts counter guys would probably still get it wrong with only one diff! :)

Where are they listing ground clearance? Cant be that much of a difference?

i do not see the 2500 gas vs diesel broken out separately, but the chevy site does have specs for 2500 and 3500 and the 2500 shows a heck of a lot more clearance.

Brakes are the same on SRW both axles 2011-2018. DRW is where they differ.
