Any one noticing that the infotainment screen is ridiculously bright at night for the backup camera? Also , major reflection from screen in the rear view mirror off the back window. I have to open the sliding rear window to eliminate the reflection.

I agree that it should be dimmer at night compared to the instrument panel. I like my gauges bright and wish they were on separate dimmers.

Yes I've noticed the same. Although I like my gauges dimmer then most.

I noticed that when I got my 15 Sierra. Funny thing is I don't even notice it anymore. But I do know what you are taking about.

I don't even notice anymore. I guess I'm just used to it by now, or there's so many city lights around here it's a non-issue. I agree it'd be nice if it had a separate dimmer though from the rest of the gauges.

The back up camera screen is usually only on for a few seconds so that excessive brightness doesn't bother me however reflectiions in the mirror while driving at night do get bothersome sometimes so in those instances I just black out the screen.

Also blackout my screen at night or dim the dash lights. Helps to see out better immensely.

I noticed it a year ago when I bought my truck now just an afterthought. It was annoying even though it never actually caused any issues for me.

I tried with my truck tonight. The screen dims along with the dials, but I'd say it's about twice as bright in any position

Just an offer of a solution I have used in the past on other vehicles. You can put window tint over the touchscreen. Helps with glare and touch still works fine. You can either order some tint and cut it to size or go to your local window tint shop. Most shops would only charge around 20 bucks or so.

It's not so bad in well lit areas, but in dark areas(my campground) it annoying. I like the idea of a dimming film over the screen.
