Any one noticing that the infotainment screen is ridiculously bright at night for the backup camera? Also , major reflection from screen in the rear view mirror off the back window. I have to open the sliding rear window to eliminate the reflection.

Take it to the dealer and have them install the August update which fixes this issue by allowing you to dim it with the dimmer switch !! I just had mine done

I bought the truck in June and I heard about the TSB when it came out in August, but sure enough, I had my first service mid September and forgot to mention it! LOL! So I still have the issue. It'll have to wait until my next service.

Yeah no problem, it takes 45 min and won't cost you anything as long as you have a good warranty still available

I bought my truck in September and I doubt it was updated. The first thing I noticed when backing up was that it lit the whole cab. If I'm reading this correctly, without the update it will dim about 1/2 the rate as the dials...and with the update it should dim a considerable amount more?

I don't have the update and the dial doesn't dim mine at all. (2017 1500 LT Z71)

I did get the update this week and like yours my dial only dims/brightens the dash light in night mode. The dial does nothing in day mode nor does it have any effect on the camera screen in day or night mode.

Also seem like the auto headlight mode is more stable, headlights not turning on so much when i drive into a shady area etc.

Should I expect to have to pay for this update? Or is it something that is covered under warranty?

There's a TSB regarding this. It should be covered for no charge.

Never bothered me much in the truck with the dimmer all the way down, the dash/screen in my wheel-loader though was insanely bright, I took a piece of 50% window tint and made a shade for it. I don't know how that method would work with a touch-screen in these trucks though.
