6.2 fuel milage?

Recommended Posts

Thinking about getting a 1500 with the 6.2 engine and I was wondering what you guys are getting for fuel milage. My 2011 is averaging 14 for the life of the truck. I can get up to 22 mpg on trips but around here the hills kill my mileage.

Lifetime average over 23K miles of 16.2 MPG. Travel 60% highway 40% city. The heavier Toyo RTs have knocked off 1.5 MPG over past 7 months. Truck is a 2015 All Terrain 6.2 Crew Cab Short Bed.

2017 Sierra 6.2 A/T, bone stock other than a undercover tonneau. I average 17-18 in the city commuting to and from work in stop/go traffic. My 50 and 100-mile averages on the interstate are always 21-23 mpg. I run 91 octane, 93 when I can find it.

How are yall getting 17-18 in the city. I average 13-14 when I am heavy on the pedal and 14-15 when I am babying the pedal. Driving around town is about 95% while 5% is freeway. When i took a 1000 mile road trip, I did get about 21 mpg.
