Dealer trade offer lol

Not sure I understand. I think Black Book is available to anyone. Go to the Chevy or GMC web page. If you 'build' a car and search for results on dealer's lots, select a car to look at it. One of the options is to check your trade in a value. If you select it, you can run your vehicle using Black Book.

Whatever they use around here values your trade a whole lot less than KBB...that's all I'm saying. It doesn't matter what it's called, it's used to their advantage, not yours.

You will almost never get private party for a trade. With the amount of rebates on the 1/2 tons, your truck is 4 "model" years old...

Private party is what the dealer will sell for after they recondition it. Try selling it yourself if you want private party value.

So much better if you can sell it your self. I sold my 06 Silverado ext cab with 108,000 on it for 13,000 2 years ago.I know dealer would never given me that for it.

My truck stickered at $53k, I paid $42k for it. It has 54k miles on it. I have had it 3 years. If I got $31k for a trade in now it would have cost me $333 a month minus oil changes etc. I think that is less than you could lease it for. I am not looking to get rid of it but if that is all it cost me for the last 3 years, I would be ok with that.

Heres a update. Found a dealer 300 miles away. Gave me 34k on trade, owed 32k. Got a 15 hc 2500 33000 miles for 45k. Payments stayed the same.

Sounds like a good trade.

I just traded in my 15 LTZ with 50k miles for 30 even. They had offered 27 but I said id walk for anything less than my asking. Considering the work it needed (new windshield, shocks, brakes, tires, grill, bent side step) I would consider mine a win.

Left the dealer with a 17 All Terrain.

Congrats on the trade.

I think the dealer will do very well on your transaction if they get 36K for your trade!  I bet they can accept less and still make a profit.  The important thing for you and the dealer is that you feel good about the deal.

I just traded a 2014 LT Z71 V6, with 36k miles to get a 2017 LT All Star Edition V8. They offered at Private Party value of $25300 and they gave me $11000 off MSRP which came down to $32500 for brand new one. CPO with less than 20k miles for 2015-2017 1500 V8 was about $28k average, so for $4k more I pulled trigger plus the CPO options they couldnt come close to what they offered. I know Chevy is offering crazy rebates here in Florida due to Hurricane Irma that just passed.

want another joke of a offer. I was fighting the dealer about my shake and have a 2017 blue z71 with 11k on it and was told it was worth 30k on a trade. 47k sticker, paid 43k  and in 10 months its lost 17k value if you use sticker price as a start! Even at 43k Factor in the payment and this truck has cost me 2000 bucks a month to own!!!

I think part of the trouble is its been in there 5 times for shake issues and they don't want to get stuck with a turd that someone else is going to start all over complaining about. They have given me a 4 year 60k bumper to bumper  warrantee so my thoughts now are to run it for 4 years till the warrantee is up and trade it on a ram. Going to be hard though. Ive bought new chev trucks about ever 3-4 years since 1977. I'm about as brand loyal as they come. Other then two mopar cars in the early 70s all ive owned is Gm vechicles all my life. Some hold a spot in my heart like my 87 buick Grand national and 3 different corvettes and two Camaros and many chev trucks  ive bought new. but between this shake ive been fighting and this crappy offer they made to trade it off I think I'm done. Sorry but one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch.

walking in without financing in hand is a mistake.  it is a bargaining chip like anything else.

i got my sierra about a month ago.  the GMC rate was 6.99%.  i got 2.75% through penfed and negotiated it as a cash deal.

I let the finance department find the best rate. I know what the rates are going in and the finance guy usually does better. He can get them to complete. It helps if you have good credit.

    • Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer
    • Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.
    • My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!
    • When a condition becomes a business model.    https://www.gm-trucks.com/gm-truck-suv-incentives-pricing-2026/   Zane posted this in "Latest Articles".    The honest bottom line   Truck buyers have spent three years assuming this is a temporary condition that will break once inventories normalize. GM just presented it to investors as a durable strategy, on a chart, as evidence of good management.   Inventory did normalize. GM is at 511,000 units and squarely inside its own 50 to 60 day target. The discounts still did not come back, because the low incentive number is the goal rather than a symptom of shortage.   Plan your purchase around that reality instead of waiting for it to change. Follow our ongoing GM News coverage for pricing and incentive changes as the next-generation trucks land.
    • Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
