$700? Cheap! Was the step repairable? They are sold only in pairs and cost about $700.

You can bet on an increase. Insurance companies aren't in the business of handing out free money - there is always a cost involved.

 

But, you got a Class-A BARGAIN at $700!!  When I backed into a little sapling at 3mph with my truck, it cost me $2,200, with me doing all the disassembly work!  Had to go on the frame machine to get the box straight again. Beer can strong ...

I recognized the yellow paint, and looked to be the right height. "Safety yellow",  no other color like it. About the only thing that can move those is a fully loaded tractor-trailer.

eh, what are you going to do.. Some of you guys really won't let the wife take the truck? My wife rarely takes it, but if she needs to for some reason I don't have a problem with it. She's a pretty good driver. Maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age. Hell, she lets me take her Volvo rocketship too! On most occasions when one f us takes the others vehicle, it's usually because it's whats parked at the end of the driveway. Generally, she avoids the truck because she hates parking it. LOL!

I'm single and all my family members are afraid of driving a truck so no one else drives mine. With my luck though, I tend to be on the opposite end and get hit by others. Thankfully the last 2 incidents have done no real damage. The most recent was last weekend I had someone hit my truck while backing out of a parking spot. Thankfully for me it did nothing more than scuff the plastic on my bumper step. The other persons car did not fair so well...
