I agree! Bigger rims are fine with certain vehicles but I prefer less rim and more tire from a comfort and off-road standpoint.

Rough Country. I can’t find the exact one online, the dealership installed it and it was marked at 2.25”. No rub from the tires at all.

I'm in the same situation. 

I want to level my 18 dbl cab but keep my stock 18" wheels.

I'm not sure if I want to lift front and rear or just level the front.

Plan to install 275/70/18 AT

2.5” lift in front.  Cognito UCAs.  No rub at all.  275/70/18 tires with the stock wheels.  Since these pics I’ve added a MotoFab 1” block in the rear.  Before/After:

removed rear blocks bilstein 5100s on the 3rd setting with a 1.5” spacer (guy before me did it) 275/60/20

I think i had a 2” level when i first got my truck with terra grap g2s in that size
