Is a 3” coil spacer too much?

I’m deciding if I should add a coil spacer on my 2wd Silverado. I’m torn between a 2”, 2.5”, or 3”. Ideally I would like to run a 3” but I’ve heard I would need new control arms with a 3” but I would like some other opinions. If so, would is the biggest I could do without needing to replace any parts? Also I plan on adding some rear lift blocks and not sure what minimum size block would I need for it to sit level?

3 is pushing it, the 2.5 should be fine. chances are the 2.5 will level the truck so you wont need anything in the back
