I also found their trade in to be fair, infact they quoted me a price sight unseen based on the discription over the phone, which I thought was fair, but then once we get to the paperwork said it was nicer than they thought so they gave me another $500 which they didn't have to do and I wasn't expecting.  Given it was EXCELLENT condition, original owner, low milage (for the age) 2003 silverado Z71.   But does not compare to the 2017 6.2 I have now

It would be nice if just once I got a good deal on a trade in.  38k miles on a 14, every option I ticked on KBB that it has gives me 24-26 for dealer trade.  Mind you, KBB doesn't have options for exhaust, bed lighting, tonneau cover, illuminated bow tie or weather techs..  but just in parts alone, there's 2k+.  I can inflate my labor rates too lol.

I know KBB is just a guide and the dealer couldn't care less about that stuff for trade value, but rest assured they will market it with those items and bloat it up accordingly.

The only thing that could make this better would be if Laura herself was a hot 28-year-old that greeted you when you came through the door!

Thanks for the info.  Seems they are pretty competent on lifts.  They give GM Supplier Discount pricing, so that's why the prices are pretty good.  I get that pricing from my employer, but I don't see any lifted new 18's in my area.  They quoted me (sight unseen) low KBB end on my trade, I'd like the higher end and I'd probably go today lol.

I really want to wait until Sept/Oct when the hideous 19s are out in full force but I feel their lifted 18 inventory might be limited by then.

I've never bought anything from them, but I'm only about 2 hours away, so Laura trucks are pretty common around here. I've heard a lot of great things about them. The only complaint I've heard is that they don't really want to deal with trade ins....so they're notorious for low balling people on their trade. They make their money on the sheer volume of new vehicles they sell, so that's their priority. You'd be much better off selling your truck straight out, and then finding a way to get to Laura to buy your new truck straight out.

That’s generally always the case.  I trade rather than sell because I can justify the loss, from not having to market, meet prospective buyers, create documentation, and experience an unknown time interval between my decision to purchase and selling my current vehicle.

Meanwhile, I was not meaning to insult Laura.  Maybe she IS hot and 28.  Or I’m sure she WAS.  All I know is she’s very likely a wealthy genius.  More power to her.  Cheers.

Thank you all for the comments on this dealership.  I've been watching their site for a while to see what happens to prices, and they have been far less than anyone else that I can find.  Will be exploring them as the end of my lease is approaching.

Mods literally add ZERO to resale value. And in some cases, even deter dealers from wanting them depending how extreme the mods are.

Yep. I've even had dealers say things like, "Well, we're going to have to pay someone to remove that window tint." And, "We're going to have to buy some stock rims, and pay our shop guys to take that leveling kit off."  Some people want a completely stock truck.....just not me, haha.

Stealers - any excuse to lower your trade in.

Now if they were selling a modded truck the opposite would apply.

All the mods are already done! Custom! Great deal!

It's been a while, but I pulled the trigger 3 days ago.  My trade in was a little lower than the sight unseen quote, but I was okay with it.  Didnt get a lifted one, ended up going with a premium plus model.  White frost tri-coat/cocoa dune.

Laura's is definitely a sight to see.  4.5 hour drive one way through Illinois was the worst part and driving back in the new truck didn't make it any better.  I55 is that boring lol.
