Wife and I have a saying. "Divorce never. Sharp shovel and a big backyard, maybe". 😉

A week ago I bought 6 dozen @ $3.99 per dozen. Still plenty of time on the use before date. Don't know why they were so cheap. Wally sells @ $5 something

Now, regular price for eggs in all my stores is $3.98 for dozen, large. Price is down for good hopefully

In my town HEB never got over 4$. When Kroger and Walmart were much higher. When they were low on eggs. HEB had plenty and still under 4$.

I grabbed a dozen that were marked $3.99 on the shelf, when I got to the register they scanned at $6.99, I got them for $3.99 and they immediately fixed the shelf price. Lowest I saw shopping yesterday was $4.99

Yours was the only store then. I've been in a bunch of HEB all over Tx and they had prices basically matching everyone else

I go once a week for eggs. They always had plenty and under 4$. They are still the cheapest around here. I was in Krogers this morning they are still higher.

Kroger's is high. Only time I purchase from them is when they have stuff on sale. Kroger's beef is better. Your area HEB probably chose to keep egg prices down and make it back up on other store products which is so easy to do

Well HEB is out of my usual morning travels. My walking spot and car wash is in a different location. I even have a Kroger card that gives me discount on groceries and gas. My wife usually shops at Aldies. A local neighborhood website had a piece about the egg prices there. So the wife sends me there just for eggs. So it is probably a lost leader to get people in. It’s usually pretty busy there. I’ll usually pay a little more to avoid the nonsense. But when the wife asks me to go I figure I better go, if you get my drift.
