I didn't like the bare look nor how Chevy did it so I "re" badged my tailgate and added to the hood.

Here is a quick before, the first thing I always do it tint and debadge. Cleans it up and look a million times better.

Did you find a pre painted tailgate handle or have a stock one sanded and sprayed?

That one is actually a smooth aftermarket handle I painted myself using the Scratch Wizard rattle can kit (perfect match) however the quality is not good so I sanded the texture off of my stock one and will paint that one as soon as I have a chance.

Nice work on your tailgate Marv88.  Different, subtle, and clean. 

 

Though I’ve always felt the debadged look is the way to go that’s not a bad look you did there.

Thanks Chad and those 3 words are exactly what I was going for!

 

BTW, the inspiration for the tailgate and hood came while viewing pictures of my old 79 Corvette L82.
