Yikes! Should have reached out to me [emoji4]. I have several pairs of those DL3 mirrors.

I didn't have to pay for it, the jagoff that t boned me and caused 10k worth of damage, their insurance company paid for it! But now that I know, how much you charge for them? And how much for the tow mirrors?

I currently have non powered mirrors.  I would love to get powered, but I'm not sure installing can be done if there were no cables or if there is a folding button to install.

When you say “non-powered”, do you mean power fold or power adjust?

I’ve helped a few with manual adjust mirrors upgrade to power adjust, power fold, and all the goodies. As long as you have power windows, there is an upgrade path for you... all the way up to power fold mirrors.

I'm sure there are some guys here that would love to trade you! I love the tow mirrors but not sure I want to give up my power fold.

Hi:

If anyone would have told me how difficult and time consuming it would be to install Tow Mirrors on my 2018 Chev Silverado , I would have gone for a different project.

There is no plug and play wiring unless you get the GM mirrors and GM wiring harnesses at about $800.00 !. Then there is labor,  many hours. Then you have to rip out old harnesses under the kick plate on both sides, rip out the control boxes and wiring harnesses to install new wires then reattach, carefully very carefully - so as not to damage a microscopic pin or pins  in  the engine fuse box and of course remove the door panels. WOW

Just not worth it to get forward facing lights, side facing turn signals, turn signals in the mirror and reverse lights.

But sellers done tell you any of this when you buy an after market mirror kit. Nor do they give you any support,  The wiring harness sold by a know Auto Parts Company are worthless and no support.

Where are the old days when you could hard wire anything in the vehicle, gone forever. Now with computer controls searching every 10 seconds for voltage drops and screwey wiring, a customer does not stand a change.

The tow mirrors are installed with the stock features that came with the truck. Looks nice but no lights work!

Another gigantic mistake of cheap Chinese logic  and labor. Why to go American manufacturers.

Frank,

Not sure where you got this info from, but for 2018, there is no need for any kick panels to be removed, or wiring ran passed the door jamb, or fuse blocks under the hood.

Simple swap the door harnesses and you’re done. I’ve been providing support (free support - even if you don’t buy from me) and upgrade paths for the community for the last two years.

Sorry to hear you were misdirected.

I’ve offer very reasonable door harnesses that are guaranteed to work. If for any reason, they don’t work, I make it right, or your $ back. I offer unparalleled customer service and support and will walk you through every step of the way.

Unfortunately, I can do much about the price of the GM OEM mirrors. They run about $500 for a set of Manual Fold, Power adjust and $1058 for power Fold. But I will offer any and all support that you’ll be hard pressed to find any where else.

Many if not all of us can vouch for Phil.   The dealers, auto parts stores and so on aren't helpful unless you buy it all from them and then only if they do the expensive install.  These mods/changes can take some time to accomplish even with Phil's expert help as many of us have never worked on these areas of the vehicles.

No matter what you do, you have a community here and everyone will help when and if they can.

Many folks on the forum can vouch for Phil a.k.a. Pgamboa.  From all accounts a straight up, no BS guy who has a wealth of knowledge regarding mirror/tow mirror installs/retrofits/mods.  Has helped numerous people who were led down a rabbit hole by less educated/scrupulous individuals.
