hey gm lovers mountain man here. ive got a 2017 gmc sierra 1500 crew cab 4x4 7" lift 35 " tires.and I am having problems/hate the stabilitrak.when I make a long angle 90 degree turn at more than 25 mph the stabilitrak comes on and I hate it.i understand how stabilitrak works and why its there.and the cables going to the wheel hubs are not tight when stand still of course. BUT is there a way to eliminate it.i kinda already have.i pulled the #3 fuse under the hood which is the antilock brake system BUT I have no cruise control and I understand why. plus the abs and stabliltrak light is on but I don't care.i still have brakes and they work fine and it DOES NOT SKID when you slam on brakes at 60mph.but what I would like to accomplish if possible if anybody out there can get there hands on a wire diagram for fuse #3 and if there is a certain wire under fuse #3 (theres 8-10) that controls only the stabilitrak that I could cut and just put a toggle switch in the cab.or if there is another to eliminate stabilitrak and still have cruise control im all ears.any questions feel free to ask thanx                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  UPDATE: went to dealership today for one of my free one changes.said they have been having problems with the steering rack and that might be causing my stabilitrak issues.we will see.part will be here in about 2 weeks.will give yall a update when it happens.

Don't think its permanent, but if you hit your traction control and turn it off, and then hold the traction control button down for a few (maybe 5 or more) seconds, itll turn stabilitrak off. Not sure if you have to do that each time you get in the truck or not. And think it goes without saying, but you have to be in park when you do it.

hey mountainman

gotta ask... is it left turns that's causing you issues??

i've got a 7.5" lift with 35" tires and when i did sharp left turns the stabilitrak would pretty much always engage.  notice i said "did"...  as in the past tense!

i saw this thread: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/212767-rough-country-6”-lift-owners/

in there it's mentioned that the hypertech speed calibrator will correct this issue - and i'm happy to report that it did for me.

this is what i bought:  Hypertech 732501

i had talked with my dealership and they were saying that there wasn't enough slack in the abs sensor wires after the lift was installed and on and on - totally not the issue.  i talked to the shop that installed the lift on my truck and they were stumped as to the cause.

hope this helps!
