Recommended brand for Clear bra?

I'd like to try to install this myself as you can buy pre-cut pieces. Is there a go to brand for quality and ease of install? I see both 3M and xpel.

I have 3m and it seems ok. I put it on myself but I don't drive my truck much. I bought it in Feb of 2014 & I have 9,948 miles right now. Maybe someone with more mileage can say more for wear.

3M I had professionally installed when I bought Pepper with 1300 miles on her. 81,000 now and looks new and protects well. Cleans easy.

I have the 3M installed professionally which comes with a 10 year warranty.  It took the shop almost 4 hours to do the front including all the lights.  After seeing whats involved, I would not attempt it by myself.

Expel Ultimate...it's very thin, cleans easily and is self-healing.

I agree with this. The installer I used is one of the best in the area and the had issues with the fog light recess on my High Country.

 

I would pay to have it done. Buying the film is not cheap either.

Xpel ultimate self healing film is the best on the market. My wife accidentally backed up & over the front bumper of my Z06 w/ her SUV, 90% of the scuffs/scratches disappeared after pouring scalding hot water over it in the sun & letting it sit, the few deep scratches that remained were able to be buffed out...this may have compromised the integrity of the “self healing” outer membrane of the Material, but speaks volumes to how well it works.

 

that being said, why on earth would you bother putting $1 into these POS tranny clunking, rough shifting, torque converter chewing, vibrating/shaking, 3rd brake light leaking, starter failing, AC condensor leaking, squeaky leaf spring riding, radio/nav failing, piles of junk GM passes off as a “professional grade”’ truck?

X-PEL Ultimate. Self healing with 10 yr warranty when professionally installed. I went from the Chevy dealership straight to the X-PEL shop when I picked up my truck.

16 months later, and it’s done a great job protecting my 2017 midnight edition.

Unless you’re 100% confident in tackling the job, I’d seek a professional certified installation.

The warranty makes it worth it IMO.

Because on the 6 chevy trucks  I have owned I have not experienced those issues!
