Just purchased a used 2014 v6 Silverado with only 36600 miles. Have terrible shudder when switching from v6 to v4 or back. Service manager only response was don't use it, use the manual shift and stay in 5 gear. Connected GM and they say nothing we can do . Been a GM owner for 50 years but no more , I think I'm going Toyota. Dealer sold me a lemon

I have a '15 V6 with similar mileage.  Switch to V4 is not noticeable except for the green indicator light.  What reason does GM give for not being able to repair your faulty AFM?

One option is post a request on forums that you want a local AFM/DOD delete only. I have seen some people do it just for the credit cost. Meaning it is 2 credits on HPT tuner software, But a person spends $650 or more for a new tuner and comes with 6 credits. More than he needs and he wants to recoup some money so you can have a unlocked PCM for future tunes or anything and just need to click one box in the software and write it over. $100 and done.

However as said I would get the dealer to fix first. As I always say call the local GM service rep.

I have a truck with every mod and change. It is at the dealer now getting warranty work and am offered a free loaner.
