Two hour drive home today. Every ten seconds a round if alerts about trailer, rear cross traffic and lane assist faults. Flashes the radio screen each time too. Blood was starting to boil after the distractions caused me to almost get in a wreck in traffic.

Thankfully I was able to stuff my hat in the dash and turn off the radio so I could actually drive.

For what it’s worth I cleaned all the sensors and tried restarting the truck to make it stop. I shouldn’t have to do that anyways, this is a truck in the winter, it’s gonna be dirty and if that is a problem then this truck will have to find a new home.

I don’t really want to deal with a dealer this time of year but it looks like I have no choice.
They updated mine and no issues now. So I guess it must be a software issue.

Let me know how it goes. You can message me if you want. Mine had the update done, everything was fine, and now the problems are back. My truck is going back to the dealer at the end of the month when I'm back from my work hitch.

The update stopped the errors but my GMC logo is flashing on start up again which is what it did before. We haven’t had any good cold weather spells since the update to be sure it is really working right though.

I thought the update helped at first

It was 12°F this morning and all the sensors trailer disconnect we’re all going crazy

So much for the update

At 32°F the sensor still give me a problem

Guys in normal conditions does all the sensors suppose to turn off when you connect a trailer ?

If yes probably theres something wrong with the trailer harness...

Or

Maybe theres something with the temperature sensor...

I try to figure it out cause many people said even with an update nothing happen..

What do you think?

I'm another with the same problem.  Just got my truck on Saturday and now two cold mornings in a row the car keeps thinking I'm connecting and disconnecting a trailer, even when driving.  It makes using the displays essentially impossible.  Dealer picked my car up this morning and think they "know what the issue is."  I'm hopeful, but seeing all of you who have had it recur concerns me.  I live in Montana and it is cold here.  If this continues it will be unacceptable.

I’ve had mine updated and it was fine for a few days. Today at 20F it’s back to the same crap. Off to the dealer tomorrow to see what can be done.

And yes the displays flashing are almost useless and extremely distracting while driving.

Update for me.  They are dropping my  car back off tomorrow.  Updated system but openly told me this is an open ticket with GM that does not have an official ticket.  I was told I will deal with it from time to time until GM figures it out.  They were hoping a couple weeks.  Not a happy camper.  I saw GM responded early in this thread.   I wish they would respond again.

If i could do away with options for my truck these parking sensors would be at the top of the list. They are without a doubt more of a nuisance than a help it seems, especially if your like me and live in a snowy climate as they always trigger a false detection with ice or snow buildup around the sensors. Sorry guys who are new to these trucks but i don't see software updates fixing this issue, been pretty common for the last 5+ years anyways. Mine just eventually thankfully shut down all together when they start freaking out hopefully they kept that feature.

    • Whoever greenlighted the work truck matte black front bumpers on every trim but the AT4X should be fired!  I was hoping that was an AI mistake, but just realized they were on every model of the 2027 Silverado too.     Some parts of the interior do look premium, but the Denali Ultimate dashboard looks like an afterthought.  At least they appear to have lost the microfiber the high end Silverado models showed, but the '27 High Country dash looks better than the Denali.
    • New member here. I am researching a read-first event-recorder concept for late-model GM V8 trucks. This is not a sales post. There is no product link, price, preorder, or mailing list. I am trying to determine whether the underlying problem is real before building anything.   Has your truck ever had a brief problem such as: - rough running or a momentary misfire - an oil-pressure warning or unusual pressure event - reduced power or a brief stall - a U-code or lost-communication problem - a symptom that disappeared before the dealer or independent shop could reproduce it   If so, I would appreciate the following details: - year, model, engine, and mileage - what happened and under what conditions - whether a DTC and useful freeze-frame data were stored - whether the shop was able to reproduce it - what the eventual confirmed repair was, if known - what additional information would have helped the diagnosis   The concept being evaluated is a removable leave-in recorder that continuously retains a rolling window from before and after an event. It would not tune, reflash, clear codes, or change the vehicle calibration.   I am also not claiming that it could predict lifter failure or see every internal ECM variable.   The real question is whether continuous event history would add enough useful evidence beyond freeze frame, GDS2, and existing scan tools — or whether it would simply be another unnecessary gadget.   For owners and technicians, which problem would make something like this genuinely useful: 1. intermittent misfire or AFM/DFM-related behavior 2. oil-pressure events 3. lost communication or electrical faults 4. none of the above Please be blunt. Negative feedback is just as useful as positive feedback.
    • No tears over the SLE and SLT trim levels disappearing but I kind of loathe the "Elevation" name. It's a truck--skip the elegance.   The slab-dashboard design is decidedly different. Almost has a Hummer flavor to it. "Professional Grade" seems to be leaning very white-collar, tech-driven these days moreso than blue-collar, functional design.   The Silverado would be my choice between the two new trucks. Pleased with the engine lineup in both. The GMC is a little "too much" for a truck, IMO, and the Denali borders on ridiculous - but I do know there are buyers for luxury trucks out there. It's just not my speed.

    • - I like the outside but not as much as the Chevrolet.  They ICE'd the EV styling and it works, but I think exterior goes to Chevy on this one.     - SLE and SLT dead = Not.  Surprising.  Fits into the rest of the GMC lineup like this which (aside from Pro) matches the rest of the family.  Elevation, AT4, Denali.     - Interior.  Sophisticated Malaise era.  Why do I say Malaise?  Drawn with a ruler.  Rectangles everywhere.  Looks very premium though.
