Does anyone know about hardwiring fuse setup on 2019 Silverado?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I bought Silverado LT Z71 2019 few weeks ago and trying to hook up dash cam using hard wiring.

so I ran wiring all the way from rear view mirror to driver side fuse box.

But I'm stuck in fuse box... it was completely different than 2018 model so I couldn't find out which one I should use...

so if anyone have a experience with dashcam with hard wiring, your advice is much appreciated! :)

I attached driver side fuse box... It's pretty much empty!

Just get yourself a test light and figure out which one is hot with the key on and go from there.

I'm going to install one in mine when I get it.

What model dash cam do you have?  Do you like it?  Rear cam as well?

Well if I could figure it out how to find correct fuse, I wouldn't post here for help lol.

I'm using Kdlinks X3 2018 version. On day time, camera quality is super clear but at night, kinda disappointed. Of course,  it's way better than Garmin dashcam that I used to have before.

X3 only has single channel so.. I no rear cam.

I had my Escort 360c Radar Detector hard wired into the wiring behind the rear view mirror using a Blend Mount.  From there I purchased the Escort M1 Dashcam and it plug directly into the side of the Radar Detector utilizing the same power.  Great set up!

How are you liking the M1?   I was debating on getting one but was worried it wouldn't mount right with my blend mount.

Almost dead center, there’s a micro 7.5amp and right below it, there’s a blue 15amp. I used a fuse tap on the blue one for my dash cam and it works perfect. (Keyed on and off).

This is much easier guys.

That spade right next to the 50 amp circuit breaker in the picture above is ACC power.

Just plug in there with an inline fuse and your golden.

What fuse did you use for the inline fuse? I just need ignition with ACC. Can

Where did you get the inline fuse for that? Also would you mind sharing a picture? I greatly appreciate it.
